All images were collected between March 1993 and January 1995. Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. Political rallies, cross lightings, picnics and a funeral. Mister Burkhart was not operating undercover.
When asked by one of the sergeant at arms "When are you going to join the Klan, brother?" Burkhart's reply was "I'd join the girl scouts before I'd join you clowns!"
By way of reply, the Nazi Dogs locked him in a motel room in Rockford Illinois while five young dudes beat him for an hour and half, only to be stopped by one of the higher-ups
who had to convince the fools that it wasn't wise to kill someone in a motel room they
rented in their own name. Burkhart was 55 at the time; the skinheads and nazi punks
were all between 18 and 27.
Had they been alone, in the open air, and separated from their pack, it's highly unlikely they could've acted so tuff. On the other hand, the Christian trailer dwellers were, as usual, courteous and continuously distancing themselves from the Nazi/skinhead faction.
